Draft 2 Digital

Posted by

After trying to go the standard publication route and just spinning my wheels, I decided to go with Draft 2 Digital as my ebook publisher. So, I thought I would do a short review of them for anyone interested in going the same route and looking for a good e-publisher.

There is a lot that Draft 2 Digital has going for them.

They have a solid list of distributors that they can publish your work through:

  • Amazon
  • Apple Books
  • Barnes & Noble
  • Google Play Books
  • Kobo (including Kobo Plus)
  • Tolino
  • OverDrive
  • Bibliotheca
  • Scribd
  • 24Symbols
  • Playster
  • Baker & Taylor

Their interface for uploading your book is very clean and easy to use. In fact, if you have your manuscript done and your cover, you could have your book uploaded and published in about ten minutes if you are an organized person. Their automatic formatting system for your book is really clean and as long as you are consistent with things like your chapter and break style, it catches most everything. That was one of the big pluses for Draft 2 Digital when I was looking. Smashswords was also in the running but their system is just too clunky and complicated for my taste.

The other things that I like about Draft 2 Digital is how easy it is to track and update your books and sales. The menus are very clear and easy to find and the Universal Book Link is also very handy for helping to promote your books.

Overall, I haven’t found anything not to like about them. So, if you are looking to get published, and don’t want to go the traditional route, I would suggest giving them a look.

Happy publishing and let the words flow like a tempest in the desert.
